About Me
Clinical social work has been my passion for the last 11 years and I feel privileged to work alongside my clients every day. My work experience first began while completing my Bachelors in Social Work program. During that time I interned for a nonprofit organization matching children undergoing cancer treatment with a mentor in the community. After completing my program and internship I knew I wanted to further my education and training in social work. From there I received my Masters of Science in Social Work at Columbia University, specializing in practice at both an individual and community level. Since moving back to Oregon I have worked as a therapist in an intensive community-based treatment program, an outpatient mental health nonprofit, and a group private practice. Throughout that time I have gained extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and adults struggling with trauma, anxiety, depression, and life adjustments. I have received certification in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), specifically using a somatic- and attachment-focused lens.
Outside the office, I enjoy hiking, cooking, reading, and watching Portland Thorns and Timbers soccer games.
